After flying high against the Fayette Falcons last Tuesday, the New Bloomfield Wildcats came back down to earth. New Bloomfield took a 64-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tuscumbia. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, New Bloomfield still got an impressive performance from Jacob Fuhriman, who scored 27 points along with three steals. Fuhriman hasn't dropped below 17 points for six straight games. Another player making a difference was J.t. Powell, who scored nine points.
New Bloomfield dropped their record down to 8-15 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Tuscumbia, their victory ended a 16-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-14.
New Bloomfield will take on Harrisburg at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tuscumbia, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Prairie Home at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Prairie Homepresents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Tuscumbia in Missouri (Prairie Home is ranked 228th, while Tuscumbia is ranked 517th).
