In what's become a running theme this season, the Unity Christian Lions gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Excel Christian Academy 56-17 on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-10.
Unity Christian found their leader in underclassman Anna Grace Wells, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 16 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Camryn King, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Unity Christian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Excel Christian Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Unity Christian will head out on the road to take on Oakwood Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Excel Christian Academy, they will play host again and welcome Praise Academy, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Praise Academy is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
