Sadly, the Athens Indians are still looking for their first win of the season after 16 games. They were beaten by Calhoun Christian 66-21 on Tuesday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Athens in their matchups with Calhoun Christian: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Athens still got an impressive performance from Kale Kiefer, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Athens' defeat was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Calhoun Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.
Athens will head out on the road to square off against Burr Oak at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Athens is facing Burr Oak at the right time seeing as Burr Oak is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Calhoun Christian, they will be playing at home against Marshall Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
