Christian Heritage has been on the road for eight straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Athens Christian Preparatory Academy Storm at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Last Tuesday, it was close, but Christian Heritage sidestepped Union Hill for a 48-46 victory.
Meanwhile, even though Regents Academy scored an imposing 65 points on Friday, Athens Christian Preparatory Academy still came out on top. Athens Christian Preparatory Academy narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Regents Academy 68-65. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Athens Christian Preparatory Academy has posted yet this season.
Landry Gammon was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 32 points, ten rebounds, and nine steals. Gammon is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Mitchell Koerth was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
The victory got Christian Heritage back to even at 4-4. As for Athens Christian Preparatory Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Christian Heritage against Athens Christian Preparatory Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 58-27 victory.
