They took their game with ease, bagging a 63-29 victory over the Starkville Academy Volunteers. The Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 matchups by 23 points or more this season.
Leake Academy found their leader in sophomore Sarah Prince, who went 9 for 13 from beyond the arc on her way to 31 points in addition to five assists and five boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Prince has scored all season. Codi Breedlove was another key player, putting up eight points.
Leake Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Starkville Academy only posted two assists.
Starkville Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Raylee Jones, who went 5 of 7 en route to 11 points and eight rebounds. Jones has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 11 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Couvillion, who posted 11 points.
Leake Academy's win bumped their record up to 30-2. As for Starkville Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 16-10.
