The Mountain Ridge Sentinels's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Skyline by a score of 56-53. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mountain Ridge in their matchups with Skyline: they've now lost three in a row.
Mountain Ridge's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Wyatt Sylvester, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Sylvester set a new season high mark in steals with five. Mountain Ridge and Highland will face off at 11:30 a.m. on December 29, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Skyline won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Pleasant Grove at 2:30 p.m. on December 29, 2023. Pleasant Grove has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 655 points over their last eight matches.
