There's no place like home for Madison Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Brindlee Mountain Lions on Monday as they made off with a 15-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won 19 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Cataryna Schreiber made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Evie Stephenson was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Mya Western was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.
