The biggest upset of the week belonged to Spoto, who took down 329th ranked Blake, 21-6. Andrew Henry ran for 123 yards in the win.
Robinson extended the longest winning streak in 5A District 8 this week by beating Gibbs, 41-0. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Knights.
The Spartans' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Aaron Haynes threw for 47 and one touchdown and Brian Barr had 62 yards receiving.
Shavar Manuel made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Yellowjackets lost to Spoto. The 6-foot-1 defensive end forced one fumble and recorded one fumble.
On the ground, Jesuit's Kevin Newman has rushed for 711 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Barr. The Spoto star has 16 catches for 312 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Tigers take on Lakewood. Jesuit is currently in third, while the Spartans are in second.
Dale Caparaso's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,416 from 8,785. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 21-6 victory over Blake last week.
