Volleyball Recap: Lakeside Beats Brunswick for Their Second Straight Win

If Brunswick wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Lakeside, they should've done a better job of containing Dayea Matocha. The Panthers came out on top against the Pirates by a score of 2-0 on Saturday with plenty of help from Matocha, who had 14 assists and four aces. Matocha is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 14 every time she's taken the court this season.

Lakeside easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-15.

The win made it two in a row for Lakeside and bumps their season record up to 6-1. As for Brunswick, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 10-2 record.

Lakeside has already played their next matchup (against Statesboro), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Brunswick, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Camden County on the 19th.
