After three games on the road, Dayspring Christian Academy is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Grace Christian Warriors at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Dayspring Christian Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy, but they still walked away with a 44-40 victory.
Meanwhile, Grace Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 68-31 win over Temple Christian. The result was nothing new for Grace Christian, who have now won four contests by 28 points or more so far this season.
Lucy Wells and Aubrey Greenmun were among the main playmakers for Grace Christian as the former scored 13 points and the latter scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Greenmun scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Emma Prochaska, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Dayspring Christian Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1. As for Grace Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
Dayspring Christian Academy won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in November of 2019, slipping by Grace Christian 25-24.
