After two weeks on the road, Mt. View is heading back home. On Friday they will take on Fayetteville at 7:30 PM. Mt. View are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the contest prepared for a fight.
After a string of seven wins, Mt. View's good fortune finally ran out last Friday. They fell just short of PikeView by a score of 26-28. Mt. View got a solid performance out of senior Ty Powell, who rushed for 148 yards and 1 touchdown; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory.
Meanwhile, if Fayetteville were riding high off their 31-6 takedown of Notre Dame three weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Fayetteville lost to Midland Trail by a decisive 10-26 margin.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
