The Lafayette Generals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Bryan Station, falling 79-39. Lafayette has struggled against Bryan Station recently, as their match on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Bryan Station found their leader in underclassman Amari Owens, who scored 22 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Owens has scored at least 25% of Bryan Station's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Daeveon Adams, who scored 12 points.
Lafayette bumped their record down to 2-6 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Bryan Station, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lafayette is on the road again on Friday and play against Tates Creek at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kentucky (Tates Creek is ranked 184th, while Lafayette is ranked 209th). As for Bryan Station, they will head out on the road to face off against Woodford County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Woodford County will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
