After a string of three wins, the McClymonds Warriors's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell 60-48 to Oakland. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for McClymonds in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost eight in a row.
Isaac Johnson had a dynamite game for Oakland, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds. Johnson is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Chapple, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
McClymonds' defeat dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Oakland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McClymonds will take on the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Fremont's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches. As for Oakland, they will head out on the road to square off against the Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Skyline will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 612th, while the Wildcats are ranked 116th).
