The North Beach Hyaks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They received a tough blow as they fell 48-31 to Ocosta. North Beach was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Ocosta apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ocosta to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anna Davis, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 17 rebounds. Davis set a new season high mark in steals with eight. Another player making a difference was Alexia Bradley, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds.
North Beach bumped their record down to 0-1 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.8 points per game. As for Ocosta, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Beach will be home for the holidays to greet Raymond/South Bend at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ocosta will be home for the holidays to greet Crescent at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
