It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Alice Coyotes had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by Rockport-Fulton on the road to the tune of 64-14. The win was familiar territory for Alice who now have eight in a row.
Alice found their leader in underclassman Lucian Cruz, who threw for 129 yards and four touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Rodriguez, who picked up 68 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Alice's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Rockport-Fulton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Alice is on the road again on Friday and play against Lampasas at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Lampasas is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Rockport-Fulton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
