Antelope Valley has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against The Knight Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Knight took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Antelope Valley, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Antelope Valley got the win against Lancaster by a conclusive 30-8.
Antelope Valley found their leader in underclassman Arthur Turner, who rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown. Bre McMillan made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Meanwhile, Knight was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 18-12 to Eastside.
Despite their defeat, Knight saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. David Cova, who rushed for 26 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 80 yards and a touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes, was perhaps the best of all.
Antelope Valley's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Knight, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
Antelope Valley took their victory against Knight when the teams last played back in October of 2022 by a conclusive 46-20. The rematch might be a little tougher for Antelope Valley since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
