It was a good run, but The Forest Park Trojans unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 48-24 walloping at the hands of North Central. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Forest Park in their matchups with North Central: they've now lost six in a row.
Although Forest Park took the loss, they still got scores from Grayson Sundell, Gaven Rintala, and Kevin Giuliani.
North Central was led to victory by Jacob gorzinski and Lane Gorzinski. gorzinski rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns, while Gorzinski gained 197 total yards and five touchdowns. Gorzinski is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kaden Malone, who picked up 21 receiving yards and no touchdowns.
Forest Park's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for North Central, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 7-2.
Forest Park will head out on the road to face off against Lake Linden-Hubbell at 1:30 p.m. on October 28th. Lake Linden-Hubbell knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Forest Park likes a good challenge. North Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
