 Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Sturgis West, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Thursday. They blew past Sturgis East 3-0 on Monday.
 Sturgis West never let Sturgis East on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18,  25-22.
 Sturgis West can attribute much of their success to  Olivia Canales, who  had six  digs and four  aces.
 Monomoy's win  ended  a  nine-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 3-8. As for Sturgis West, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the  victory, which was their seventh straight  at home dating back to last season.
