Rocky Mount Prep has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Southeast Halifax Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Wednesday, Rocky Mount Prep ended up a good deal behind Tarboro and lost 50-33.
Despite the loss, Rocky Mount Prep got a solid performance out of Niylee Bullock, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Southeast Halifax's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They suffered a rough 59-37 loss at the hands of Wilson Prep. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Southeast Halifax has suffered since December 5, 2023.
Rocky Mount Prep has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Southeast Halifax, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-12.
Rocky Mount Prep came out on top in a nail-biter against Southeast Halifax when the teams last played back in December of 2023, sneaking past 36-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rocky Mount Prep since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
