The Carle Place Frogs waltzed into their game on Thursday with four straight wins but they left with five. They came out on top against East Rockaway by a score of 55-42. That's two games straight that Carle Place has won by exactly 13 points.
Caitlin Leary was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 36 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Gomes, who scored four points along with 12 rebounds and two steals.
Carle Place pushed their record up to 12-5 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for East Rockaway, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carle Place will take on the Seahawks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Cold Spring Harbor and the Frogs are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for East Rockaway, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Wildcats at 12:00 p.m. on February 5th.
