  Tyler Burdick spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two  runs (both of which were unearned)  on one hit and racked up nine Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  tossed less than eight  strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Brock McDaniel was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with two  doubles and  an  RBI.
 Depew is  on a roll lately: they've  won nine of their last ten games,  which provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record  this season. As for Regent Prep, their loss  ended  a  four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 13-8.
 Coincidentally,  both teams will both be playing Davenport the next time they take the field. Depew will  host Davenport at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday, while Regent Prep will head out to face them  at 1:00  p.m.  on Friday.
