The Stratford Red Devils will take on the Bunnell Bulldogs at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Stratford is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season.
Stratford came out on top against Weston on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run first inning. The Red Devils blew past the Trojans 16-2. The Red Devils haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Morgan Letizia tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Riley Dicks was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Carolyne Burlone was another key player, going 4-for-5 with four RBI and one run.
Stratford was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .556. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Bunnell was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They lost 14-1 to Brookfield. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Bobcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.
Bunnell saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Smith, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Smith has hit this season.
Stratford's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Bunnell, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Stratford hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .363. However, it's not like Bunnell struggles in that department as they've averaged .320. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
