The Lakeside Knights stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They blew past Wallace 81-25 at home. Given Lakeside's advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Miners are ranked 135th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lakeside's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyson Charley, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten assists. Charley is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Brutis Sijohn was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
The win makes it two in a row for Lakeside and bumps their season record up to 10-2. As for Wallace, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
Lakeside will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wampus Cats at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Wallace, they will head out on the road to challenge the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
