AA Region 3 recap October 22, 2013
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Westside, who defeated 261st ranked Screven County, 23-6.
The Gamecocks' Tavarious Johnson recorded the longest rushing play in AA Region 3 this season in his game against the Patriots last week. Johnson's team lost to Westside as he sprinted for 57 yards on the play and finished with 85 in all.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Ron Duncan's team's Rashad Hughley and Desmond White have proven to be a lethal combination. Hughley has thrown for 591 yards this season, while White has 17 catches for 228 yards. AUSTIN BURT from Harlem leads the league in rushing with 876 yards.
At the moment, the Bulldogs are in first, while Dublin is in third.
Robert Davis' team moved up to 255 from 282 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Patriots were able to move up by topping the Gamecocks 23-6.
