Mobile Christian extended the longest winning streak in 2A Region 1 this week by beating Millry, 14-12. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Leopards.
Choctaw County moved up to 284 from 322 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Tigers were able to make the jump by falling to Leroy 21-12.
Southern Choctaw's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Danny Napier threw for 92 and one touchdown and Savon McCoy had 80 yards receiving. On the ground Quentin Adams chipped in 188 yards. LaBrandon Young helped Southern Choctaw's passing attack out by catching one ball for 12 yards.
Southern Choctaw's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Napier has thrown for 609 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Young has 13 catches for 280 yards. Adams leads the league in rushing with 1092 yards.
Choctaw County made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,006 from 11,063. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 21-12 victory over Eberne Myrthil's team last week.
