The Crosshill Christian Eagles will square off against the Monroe Dragons at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Monroe will be up against a hot Crosshill Christian team: the squad just extended their winning streak to 15. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 35-2 margin over Central Linn on Friday. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Isaac Folkert and Miles Lute were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Folkert tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Lute tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in six consecutive appearances. At the plate, Folkert went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run, while Lute went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, five RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Folkert has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, Johan Phillips was incredible, getting on base in five of his six plate appearances with one home run, five runs, and two stolen bases. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Hinderks, who went 3-for-5 with four runs, three RBI, and one double.
Crosshill Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, while Monroe put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Mohawk. The Dragons blew past the Indians 14-0. The win continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won six in a row.
Crosshill Christian's record is now 15-0. As for Monroe, their record now sits at 13-2.
Crosshill Christian suffered a grim 13-5 defeat to Monroe when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
