Marquette got themselves on the board against Seneca on Thursday, but Seneca never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Fighting Irish. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Marquette's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Seneca, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-18.

Coming up, Marquette will take on Centennial at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Seneca, they will challenge Reed-Custer at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Comets will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Fighting Irish surely won't give up without a fight.
