Miami will challenge Sequoyah on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. The odds don't look promising for Miami, but the bigger the opponent is, the harder they fall.
Miami came within a touchdown against Jay last week, but wound up with a 14-23 loss. Miami got a solid performance out of junior Gavin Payton, who picked up 55 yards on the ground and accumulated 122 passing yards; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win.
Meanwhile, Sequoyah had to kick off their season on the road, but they showed no ill effects. They enjoyed a cozy 20-0 victory over Muldrow.
Sequoyah's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Miami's loss dropped them down to 1-1. We'll find out if Sequoyah can add another positive mark to their record or if Miami can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Sequoyah's step.
