The Crossings Christian Knights were the 41-19 winner over the Meeker Bulldogs when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Crossings Christian fell 24-17 to Meeker on Friday.
When it comes to explaining why Crossings Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Luke Olson. Despite the final result, he rushed for 113 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Meeker to victory, but perhaps none more so than Treyvon Compton, who rushed for 54 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 217 yards and a touchdown while completing 73.7% of his passes. Ajay Lynch was another key contributor, rushing for 141 yards and a touchdown.
Crossings Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Meeker, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Crossings Christian will head out on the road to face off against Kellyville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kellyville is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Meeker, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Star-Spencer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
