The Calvary Baptist Academy Patriots will head out on the road to challenge the Victory Baptist Academy Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Calvary Baptist Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Monday.
Calvary Baptist Academy suffered their biggest defeat since December 16, 2023 on Monday. They were dealt a 65-35 loss at the hands of West Logan Christian Academy. The game was a close 27-24 at the break, but unfortunately for Calvary Baptist Academy it sure didn't stay that way.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jacob Vaughn, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. He also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was James DeGroff, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Victory Baptist Academy strolled past West Logan Christian Academy with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 72-54. The win made it back-to-back wins for Victory Baptist Academy.
Calvary Baptist Academy are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9. As for Victory Baptist Academy, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-5.
Calvary Baptist Academy couldn't quite finish off Victory Baptist Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 and fell 43-40. Can Calvary Baptist Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
