Softball Recap: Emerald Ridge Finds Home Field Redemption Against Bethel

There's no place like home for Emerald Ridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the Bethel Bison 16-1 on Monday. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 15 runs or more this season.

Alanna Wirtala was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Wirtala was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Abygale Redwine, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Kenzie Stolmeier was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one double.

Emerald Ridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Emerald Ridge moved to 4-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Bethel, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

Emerald Ridge has already played their next contest, a 10-8 victory against Sumner on the 3rd. As for Bethel, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 17-1 loss against Puyallup on the 2nd.
