 In other batting news,  Ethan McCloskey and  Mason Miller did most of the damage at the plate:  McCloskey  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 2-for-2, while  Miller  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances. Miller has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Nicholas Tierney, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 West Davidson is  on a roll lately: they've  won seven of their last eight games,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record  this season. As for South Davidson, they are  on  an  eight-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-12.
