The Lake Gibson Braves are on the road again on Monday and play against the Avon Park Red Devils at 8:00 p.m. on December 11th. Avon Park took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Lake Gibson, who comes in off a win.
Even though Ridge Community scored an imposing 58 points on Friday, Lake Gibson still came out on top. Lake Gibson snuck past Ridge Community with a 64-58 victory. The victory was just what Lake Gibson needed coming off of a 72-46 defeat in their prior match.
Lake Gibson can attribute much of their success to Adarrion Willis, who scored 13 points along with 9 rebounds, and Trey Rodman, who scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Evans, who scored 9 points along with 6 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Avon Park pushed their score all the way to 57 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 66-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Booker. Avon Park has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The First Academy's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Lake Gibson's loss dropped theirs to 1-3.
