After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matchups, Giddings finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They fell just short of the La Grange Leopards by a score of 4-2. The Buffaloes' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Giddings' loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-10. As for La Grange, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Giddings and La Grange will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Buffaloes see the field they'll take on Bellville at 7:00 p.m. on April 7. As for La Grange, their break will end when they face Caldwell at 7:00 p.m. on April 10.
