The St. Maries Lumberjacks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 55-37 fall against Wallace. St. Maries lost against Wallace in their previous head to head last Thursday, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 50-39 score last time.
St. Maries' lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Raevyn Yearout, who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds. Yearout continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tayla Janssen, who scored 9 points.
St. Maries' defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Wallace, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Maries will square off against Troy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wallace, they will head out on the road to face off against East Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
