The game between the two teams wasn't particularly close, with Lovejoy falling 55-37. McKinney North had a senior duo take command as Kaelyn Hamilton scored 32 points along with six rebounds and five steals and Ciara Harris scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. The matchup was Hamilton's 29th in a row with at least ten points.
This is the second loss in a row for Lovejoy and nudges their season record down to 18-11. As for McKinney North, they pushed their record up to 19-10 with that win, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Melissa the next time they take the court. McKinney North will host Melissa at 5:45 p.m. on Friday, while Lovejoy will host them at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
