Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Grant County

Grant County put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Carroll County Panthers as the Grant County Braves made off with a 12-3 victory. 12 seems to be a good number for the Braves as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Luke Williams made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Seth Tucker was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. Another player making a difference was Braiden Beach, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Grant County's victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grant County will host Cooper at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Carroll County, they will take on Western Hills at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
