Piper's Matt McDonald recorded the longest rushing play in Kaw Valley this season in his game against Sumner Academy last week. McDonald's team beat the Sabres as he sprinted for 75 yards on the play and finished with 130 in all.
Mill Valley extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Washington, 63-40. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Jaguars.
SKYLER WINDMILLER threw for 211 yards and three touchdowns. He was 14-20 with one interceptions.
PAUL BERRY provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Turner fell to Aquinas. He completed 12 passes for 81 yards and also ran for 189 yards. BERRY's favorite target this week was JEREMY JENSEN, who caught four passes for 25 yards.
Lucas Mein made the biggest impact on defense this week as Lansing defeated Schlagle. The 5-foot-11 senior pulled down one interception.
Khalil Bailey was the best wideout in the league this week as the Lions topped the Stallions. Bailey racked up four receptions for 103 yards. Christian Porter helped Lansing's passing attack out by catching two balls for 16 yards.
Mill Valley's WINDMILLER and L.J. HATCH have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Kaw Valley in both passing and receiving yards. WINDMILLER has thrown for 1702 yards this season, while HATCH, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 30 catches for 643 yards. Drew Potter from Basehor-Linwood leads the league in rushing with 1022 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Joel Applebee's team takes on Lansing. As it stands, the Jaguars are in first, while Bill Pekarek's team is in sixth.
Piper took down Sumner Academy 48-13 last week, the largest margin of any game. Travon Jones ran for 152 yards in the win.
