Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Oran's offense. They came up short against Kennett on Thursday, falling 11-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost three in a row.
New Madrid County Central is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Oran, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
