The Pine Lake Prep Pride will be taking part in a tournament against the Pinecrest Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pine Lake Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.

Pine Lake Prep had been on a four-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Corinth Holders put an end to it on Monday. The Pride lost 11-1 to the Pirates. The matchup marked the Pride's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Pinecrest won against Overhills on Thursday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Patriots blew past Uwharrie Charter Academy 11-1. Considering the Patriots have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Bohdi Robertson was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single hit and allowed only one earned run while striking out 11 over 5.1 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2025. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, David Wiley and Seth Norris did most of the damage at the plate: Wiley went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Norris got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two RBI gave Norris a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Owen Todd, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Pinecrest pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Pine Lake Prep, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 11-4 record.
