Eastern Hancock (Charlottesville, Ind.) snapped the 13-game winning streak of
Linton-Stockton (Linton, Ind.), with a 37-16 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Cooper Henderson in the first quarter, the Royals were up 14-7 at the half.
Eastern Hancock expanded its lead to 17 points entering the fourth quarter. EH scored two times in the third, including once on a
Spencer Gilbert touchdown run.
With the win the Charlottesville school extended its winning streak to 14 games. Eastern Hancock defeated South Putnam 29-14 last week.
The Miners came in surrendering 13.3 points per game this season. Linton-Stockton struggled against Eastern Hancock's offense, who entered the game scoring 57.5 points per game. Eastern Hancock came into the game allowing 15.5 points per game. Linton-Stockton's 16 points were well below its season average of 42.3 per game.
The loss comes after Linton-Stockton defeated Fountain Central 47-28 last week.
