The Cheshire Rams and the Masuk Panthers squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but sadly the Cheshire Rams had to settle for second. They suffered a tough 42-21 defeat at the hands of the Panthers. Cheshire was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Masuk apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2019.
Although Cheshire took the loss, they still got scores from Adam Vernon, Jeffery Gonzalez, and Matt Jeffery.
Masuk got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Rob Klein out in front who threw for 115 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Colin Hope was another key contributor, picking up 41 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Cheshire's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Masuk, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2.
Cheshire does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Masuk will face off against Wilton at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. Wilton is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
