West Marion has been on the road for seven straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Mendenhall Tigers at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. West Marion will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 278th, while Mendenhall is ranked 45th).
West Marion suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against St. Patrick, falling 77-41.
Meanwhile, Mendenhall had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.8 points), and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 48-30 win over Forest.
West Marion bumped their record down to 2-13 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Mendenhall, their win bumped their record up to 16-3.
