Brooks is 6-1 against Wilson since September of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Brooks Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Wilson Warriors at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Brooks has four straight victories, Wilson has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, Brooks didn't have too much trouble with Rogers on the road as they won 28-14.
Garrett Burrough continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 163 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.6 yards per carry, and also throwing for 42 yards and two touchdowns. Burrough is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played. Lucas Oakley was in the mix as well, providing Brooks with two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Wilson was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 34-28 to East Lawrence.
Brooks' win lifted them to 5-2 while Wilson's loss dropped them down to 1-6.
Brooks took their win against Wilson in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 by a conclusive 38-13. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brooks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
