Volleyball Recap: Sylmar Has No Trouble Against Diego Rivera

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Sylmar walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Diego Rivera Huskies on Thursday. The Spartans not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 23rd (when they won 3-0).

Sylmar never let Diego Rivera on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-16, 25-20.

Sylmar has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-13-2 record this season. As for Diego Rivera, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-14-2.

Looking ahead, Sylmar will face off against Banning at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Diego Rivera does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
