Poteet hasn't had much luck against Jourdanton recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Aggies will welcome the Indians/Squaws at 6:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, Poteet turned things around against Cole on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 16-8 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Aggies considering their two-run performance the match before.

The team relied heavily on Leona Curbey, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriella Ramos, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Curbey wasn't the only one making solid contact: Poteet kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Jourdanton waltzed into their game on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Everything went their way against the Bulldogs as they made off with an 11-1 win. Considering the Indians/Squaws have won eight contests by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Hailey Sralik made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over six innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two hits in ten consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Bobbiejo Gonzales was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sydney Floyd, who scored two runs while going 4-for-4.
Jourdanton's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-13. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Poteet, their victory bumped their record up to 9-16.
Poteet suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Jourdanton in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Will the Aggies have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
