Los Osos came tearing into  Monday's  game with nine straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Kaiser Cats with a sharp  10-2 win. While the Grizzlies didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-15-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
 Abigail Merchant was a major factor no matter where she played. She  struck out nine batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   nine  hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-5.
 In other batting news,  Renata Arroyo was  incredible,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3. What's more,  she posted two  doubles, the most she's  had since back in April of 2024.  Kassandra Granillo was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
Los Osos' victory bumped their record up to 11-2-1. As for Kaiser,  they are  on  a  nine-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-9.
 Coming up, Los Osos will take on Alta Loma at 3:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Kaiser, they will face off against Sultana at 3:15  p.m.  on Wednesday. Sultana's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6  runs per game  this season, so Kaiser's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
