The Seymour Indians will be playing at home against the Macomb Bombers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Seymour will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 478th, while Macomb is ranked 133rd).
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 60-32, which was the final score in Seymour's tilt against Griggsville-Perry on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Seymour has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Macomb came tearing into Friday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points) and they left with even more momentum. They secured a 52-47 W over Camp Point Central.
Seymour's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-18. As for Macomb, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season.
Seymour came up short against Macomb in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 58-49. Will Seymour have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other basketball content.
