Basketball Recap: Saint Stephen's Episcopal Takes a Loss

Saint Stephen's Episcopal lost against Parrish Community back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Saint Stephen's Episcopal Falcons were outmatched by the Parrish Community Bulls and fell 68-38. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 688th, while the Bulls are ranked 243rd).

Marcus Motwani and Aymon Colten certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Motwani posted 16 points, while Colten went 7 of 14 en route to 17 points. Motwani's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Saint Stephen's Episcopal's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Parrish Community, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Imagine School at North Port the next time they take the court. Parrish Community will host Imagine School at North Port at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Saint Stephen's Episcopal will head out to face them on Monday.
