After losing to the Westover Patriots the last time they met, the Baldwin Braves decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Baldwin walked away with a 59-47 victory over Westover on Wednesday. Given Baldwin's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while Westover is ranked 213th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Baldwin got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaiah Dennis out in front who scored 23 points. Tremarius Lawrence was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight assists and eight rebounds.
Baldwin's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Westover, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Baldwin will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Wesleyan at 5:00 p.m. on December 23rd. Westover will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Terrell County at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Terrell County is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
